About Otby House Farm

The Cooper family has been at Otby since the mid-1950s. Neil and Freda Cooper have lived and worked here for 40 years and in recent years have been joined by their daughter Natalie and son Frank.

Two other daughters Lorna and Joanna live away but maintain a keen interest in developments at Otby, not least ensuring that the grandchildren visit often.

As custodians of the land, the family very much sees it as their job to ensure the right decisions are made to preserve this outstanding slice of the Lincolnshire Wolds for future generations.

This is the best lake I have fished in Lincolnshire. Well conditioned and powerful fish. Caught 11 before midday, things got a bit slower in the afternoon. The owner was very friendly, would highly recommend this venue.

Beautiful lake tucked in a stunning valley. Found this venue while staying at a nearby campsite last summer. Only had a few hours to fish but had three nice rainbows. Owner was friendly and helpful. Only saw one other angler while I was there. Will definitely return.

Lovely house, very nice view and host was just as we like them to be, there on the phone if required but in no way in your hair all the time. Loads of wildlife to watch and avoid while driving in and out. Just what we wanted, a quiet peaceful break. We would go again.

We found the cottage very comfortable , views are great. Location of the cottage is good for exploring. Lincoln is a lovely place to visit we used the park and ride which we found very easy to use. Also the coast not far away, lovely sandy beaches. Some good restaurants around.

We just got back from a long weekend for my husbands birthday. Joined by some friends , it was honestly stunning photos don’t do it justice. It has everything you need & the added note chocolate & some other Lincolnshire treats on arrival was a lovely little gesture. So peaceful , I honestly can’t wait to come back & already looked at dates.

We stayed with friends and the kids during Christmas break. The minute we walked in were amazed how spacious, well decorated it is, had all the equipment we needed to do cooking and even bbq. Owners are lovely and told us all about the farm and things to see and do around. Kids loved seeing the sheep’s, horse and tractors!

Tucked away by a picturesque lake, a perfect retreat. Natalie and Frank thought of everything. Accommodation outstanding. Sauna was very relaxing. We took advantage of the hampers offered – delicious. Mornings brought a gentle mist over the water and evenings were spent reflecting on the balcony admiring the sunset. We look forward to returning later in the year.

An incredible stay at an incredible location. You’re immediately blown away from the moment you drive through the gate and then arriving at the boat house is very special. A lake to yourself, sauna and incredible views all make this place somewhere truly special. The attention to detail that Natalie and Frank have poured into the boat house is commendable.

It is hands down the best place I have ever stayed. It was so beautiful and you are well and truly emersed in nature. The amenities were incredible. Natalie the host was fantastic. We have decided to make this our annual treat to ourselves.
